ABOUT COLLEGE APP ASAP AND DR. DEEGAN

College App Advisory Services and Planning (College App ASAP) was founded by Dr. Allison Deegan, who has more than 18 years of experience personally guiding thousands of students of all ages and disciplines to successful college and graduate school admissions, scholarships, fellowships, internships and employment. Dr. Deegan works with students from all over the country, and with international students too.  The College App ASAP difference is fast, expert and reliable assistance in the application process, customizable to fit your needs.

Dr. Deegan is committed to helping applicants gain access to schools and programs of all kinds. While students she has guided have gained admission to some of the most highly competitive schools in the world, she welcomes all applicants to use her services to improve their chances at a broad range of opportunities. In addition to her private consulting, each year Dr. Deegan provides full services at no charge to more than 100 students with demonstrated financial need.

Dr. Deegan is a public education administrator and adjunct doctoral faculty member who holds an undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, and masters and doctoral degrees from California State University, Long Beach.

Dr. Deegan is a founding member and serves as Associate Director of WriteGirl, a creative writing and mentoring program for teen girls based in the Los Angeles area. WriteGirl’s books, which feature the creative work of its members, have been recognized with more than 70 national book awards and are available on the organization’s website. WriteGirl was named 2010-11 California Non-Profit of the Year by the state’s Governor. Most recently, WriteGirl was one of 12 programs nationwide honored with the President’s National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, presented to us by First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House in November 2013.
